Tulsi Pooja

Tulsi (Holy Basil) is revered in Hinduism as the earthly manifestation of Goddess Lakshmi. Performing Tulsi Pooja daily, especially in the morning and evening, involves watering the plant, lighting a diya (lamp), and offering flowers and incense. The ritual is a gesture of devotion and a prayer for family well-being and prosperity.

The presence of Tulsi in the home is believed to purify the environment and attract positive vibrations. Its medicinal properties, including antibacterial and immunity-boosting effects, make it not only a spiritual symbol but also a guardian of physical health. In many homes, Tulsi is planted in a central courtyard or a specially built Tulsi Vrindavan.

Devotees chant mantras such as “Tulasi Amritajanmasi” while circumambulating the plant. Worshipping Tulsi is said to cleanse sins, strengthen familial bonds, and bless the home with auspiciousness. This sacred plant serves as a bridge between the devotee and the divine, rooted in tradition and nature.
