Hanuman Pooja

Hanuman Pooja is dedicated to Lord Hanuman, the ultimate symbol of strength, devotion, and fearlessness. Devotees turn to Hanuman in times of distress, fear, or hardship, as he is known to swiftly remove obstacles and negative influences, especially those caused by planetary afflictions or evil forces.

The pooja is usually performed on Tuesdays or Saturdays. It includes chanting Hanuman Chalisa, reciting Bajrang Baan or Sundar Kand, and offering red flowers, sindoor, and bananas. Lighting mustard oil lamps is a key aspect of the ritual, as it is believed to please Hanuman and ward off evil spirits.

Hanuman Pooja builds inner resilience, physical vitality, and a focused mind. Spiritually, it nurtures unwavering devotion (bhakti) and promotes surrender to divine will. Children and adults alike find inspiration in Hanuman’s stories of bravery and service, making this pooja a cornerstone of protection rituals in many households.
