Sankashti Chaturthi Pooja

Sankashti Chaturthi is observed on the fourth day after the full moon (Krishna Paksha) each month and is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. It is a highly auspicious day for devotees seeking the removal of obstacles, success in undertakings, and peace of mind. Fasting is observed from sunrise to moonrise, and the fast is broken only after sighting the moon and performing Ganapati pooja.

The pooja involves lighting lamps, offering durva grass, modak (sweet dumplings), and chanting the Sankashtanashana Ganesha Stotra or the Ganapati Atharvasheersha. Special importance is given to observing the Vratha with sincerity, silence, and faith, as it is believed to destroy sins and fulfill desires.

Sankashti Chaturthi promotes patience, inner strength, and clarity. Regular observance helps devotees develop discipline and strong spiritual habits. The divine grace of Lord Ganesha protects the practitioner from unseen difficulties and grants them wisdom to overcome life’s challenges with ease and balance.
